- Sweep and wipe the floor, then let it dry.
- Mark the centre with a dot and draw the main shape (bow, wheel or lotus) in chalk.
- Outline in white, then fill the biggest areas first.
- Add the border last and finish with dots.
A 45 cm simple design takes about 15 minutes. A 1 metre Vijayadashami rangoli takes over an hour, so start early.
Colours and Quantity for Dasara Rangoli Designs
